How to handle Trustee changes after extension

If producers want to switch Farm Assurer/Trustee-Masterdata or Trustee-Certification Body when the certificate was already extended, the product(s) still stay accepted. In this case the outgoing Certification Body needs to contact the customer support and confirm that the product(s) can be deaccepted and the producer/producer group is free to change.

When the producer wants to change CB, the audit (by a new CB2) was performed during the certificate extension period (by current CB1) and the current CB1 did not ask for termination before the audit by the new CB2, the producer cannot change and must stay with the current CB1 for the upcoming certification cycle.

Exception is only given when the outgoing CB1 explicitly asks for the termination of the extension and authorizes GLOBALG.A.P. to transfer the GGN to the new CB2. GLOBALG.A.P. will process the transfer requests only coming from the outgoing CB1, who extended the certificate validity. It is entirely the decision of the outgoing CB1 to release the client under a valid contract.

If transfer is granted, the certificate validity issued by the new CB2 shall be 12 months minus the extension period given by the outgoing CB1. The new CB2 has to ask the outgoing CB1 or the producer for the previous certificate, in order to know the original certification cycle.

There are cases where Trustee is CB1 with Apples and CB2 has Pears. And there is an extension for Pears and now CB3 however shall take over - in this case it is not a trustee transfer but a CB change.
