Adding a New Product to an Existing Certificate Migrated from GG Database

Go back to:

If a Certification Body (CB) needs to add a new product to an existing certificate that has been migrated from the GG Database, the following steps should be followed:

1. Create the producer's site(s) and PHU(s) and add products as needed:

Begin by setting up the relevant producer’s site(s) and, if applicable, Product Handling Units (PHUs) in the system. Be sure to also add all related products at this stage.

    2. Initiate and complete a new audit:

Once the required sites and products are in place, create a new audit. During this process, add all products—including the newly added product—to the audit.

    3. Fill out attribute and P&C smart forms:

    • For each product included in the audit, complete all necessary attribute and Principle & Criteria (P&C) smart forms to ensure compliance.

After all information has been entered and verified, close the Smartforms by clicking on "Save and Submit work order with a compliant status.

Close the work order and set the audit status to "Closed Compliant"

    4. Issue the updated certificate:

Once the above steps are complete and the work order is successfully closed, issue a new version of the certificate. The certificate’s valid to date should remain unchanged.

Important: If Option 2 applies, you must create a new Certification Scope Work Order instead of modifying the existing one.
