Notification Producer

The online registration contains two steps, defined as Notification and Registration.

The first step is Notification.

Please note that with the Notification of the producer/producer group, a GGN will be created and assigned to the producer/producer group. Therefore, please ask the producer for a former GGN on the producer application form. It needs to be made clear on the application form that incorrect information may result in a sanction (please see GR I 4.2.2. a). If the former GGN is not asked, the fee has to be paid by the Certification Body and it will also be recorded as a KPI mark.

It is also important to keep in mind that 'Notification producer' is used for the option 1 producers as well as for the option 2 producer group members.

Here the data privacy regulations of the producer need to be set up.

According to the implemented data use levels there are two levels of producer data access rights:

a) Yes, the producer agrees to grant access of his company name and address to the „Public“ data access group after explaining this option to him.

This means that all contact data (name, street, city, PLZ) are going to be displayed for all users searching publicly (without using a registered account).

b) No, the producer does not agree to grant access of his company name and address to the „Public“ data access group after explaining this option to him

This option means that all contact data (name, street, city, PLZ) are going to be hidden for all users searching publicly and only visible for users with a registered account. There is more producer and product information to show in the database that can be set up in a second step online.

Now continue with choosing the country in which the company (legal entity) is located (Country of production).

Proceed with entering the company´s name and address and if available an e-mail address of the producer.

Information regarding producer e-mail can be found below from the Technical Newsletter 03/2018: 

Starting from 1st November 2018, a producer  e-mail  address (used  for  business) will  be  an obligatory entry in the GLOBALG.A.P. database (together with the legal entity name and postal address of the legal entity). CBs will need to enter this information for all the legal entities: Option1 producers, producer groups, as well as Option2 producer group members.

• If a single Option1 producer does not have an e-mail at all, please enter ‘’N/A’’.
• If a member of the producer group has an own e-mail, please enter this into the database.
• If a member of the producer group does not have a personal e-mail, please enter the e-mail of the producer group for that person.

We do not foresee a situation where the group itself does not have an e-mail address.

This function is available in the web application (directly online in the database) as well as in the producer upload sheet and via an XML/SOAP interface

At the moment the latitude and longitude cannot be processed properly in the database, therefore please document them on your side as it will become an obligatory entry in 2021.

Subsequently the responsible person data of the producer need to be entered.

Please note here that for all changes made in the database the responsible person will receive a mail. Therefore it is possible to enter a CB mail address.

If the data of the responsible person (name, address, e-mail address etc.) were once saved, they can only be amended via upload. For that, please, use the producer upload sheet with mode 2.

Data are saved successfully, if the following screen and message appears.

All employees with the role Trustee-Masterdata and the responsible person will receive an e-mail confirming the notification of the producer.
